The Admission Procedure
Online or offline, the steps are the same — and every one of them is about knowing your child better.
From first enquiry to the first day
Each year Brighton announces that admissions open on 1 November. For students entering Class I and above, the school schedules the entrance assessment on one or multiple dates, typically on Sundays. Admissions for Nursery, KG I and KG II commence concurrently.
What is an Open House?
An Open House is an invitation for parents and students to explore how learning actually happens here. You meet school leaders and faculty, hear our programmes explained in a structured presentation, and walk the campus with a guided tour — so the decision is made on what you have seen, not what you were told.

The Open House
Happens on the same dates as the entrance assessment — a structured presentation and a guided tour of the campus.

The student appears for the mandatory Brighton Entrance Scholastic Test, online or at school.

Results are shared on the school website or by phone call. Parents get a 15-day window to come and confirm.

Brighton Entrance Scholastic Test (BEST)
Students of Class I and above register for BEST, which can be taken online or at school. It looks at how a child thinks and reasons, not how much they have memorised.

BEST — results & next steps
- Round 2 of the Brighton Entrance Scholastic Test (BEST) for admission to Classes I to IX was conducted on 14 December 2025.
- Parents of recommended students receive a link by email or WhatsApp to complete the admission form.
- Visit the school office between 17 and 30 December 2025 to accept the offer and complete formalities.
- If a parent does not come within this window, the admission offer is treated as declined and stands cancelled.
- Admission is confirmed only on receipt of the first term fee along with the admission fee and security deposit.
What BEST looks for
BEST is not a memory test. It looks at how a child reads a problem, reasons through it and explains their thinking — the same life skills we then spend years building. An interview with the Headmaster follows the test.

Documents Required
Keep these ready to make confirmation quick and painless.
- Report card or passing certificate of the last class attended (when changing schools)
- Aadhaar card of the child
- Birth certificate (for fresh admission in Nursery or KG I)
- Transfer Certificate (TC)*
- Migration Certificate, if mandated by law
*A Transfer Certificate is not required if the child is attending school for the first time.

On the last Sunday of October, the campus is yours to explore.
